Your prayers and support matter!

Jennifer and Dwight Mullen are both diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and undergoing chemo treatments with three young children at home.Your donation will make a difference in them being able to stay in their home and meet basic needs.

It is with great sadness that we share with you that Dwight Mullen is now with Jesus (although we find relief in the ending of his suffering). He was a wonderful man, husband, and father.

We ask for your continued prayers for his wife Jennifer and his children: Brandon, Samantha, and Laura as they face the difficult days ahead without him. A fund was created in lieu of flowers for the family through Hope Community Church.

The Mullen Battle

In September of 2013 Jennifer Mullen was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer.  Beginning the fight of her life, nothing could prepare her family for the news that came two weeks later.  Her husband Dwight was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer after a routine colonoscopy.  For over a year, they have been battling through difficult treatments and side effects with hope and prayer.  In the summer of 2014, they believed they were on the mend and would start recovering physically and financially as they both had bouts of not being able to work during treatment.  The Mullen's have three children under twelve.

During a routine scan, September of 2014 brought devastating news - Dwight's cancer had returned with a vengeance with a biopsy determining the cancer had spread to the liver and bone.  The family is now needing additional support.  While friends, church members, and family have been praying and providing meals, their financial needs have grown.  In December of 2014, their story was featured on Fox 4 News: http://www.fox4news.com/clip/10971590/plano-family-deals-with-cancer

In March of 2015, Dwight Mullen died surrounded by family and friends.  Dwight was the main provider and while Jennifer longs to able to work, her own diagnosis and need for continued chemo has so far prevented her being able to seek employment.  Their family and friends ask for your prayers and any support you're able to give.  Thanks for taking the time to read their story and feel free to share through your own social media and connections as you feel led.
